Description
Mechanical vibration and vibration-induced noise are one of the major sources of occupant complaints in modern buildings. High-rise buildings have made these buildings more susceptible to vibration and vibration-related problems due to the Lighter weight constructions. This webinar attempts to address such typical problems faced by the HVAC industry and Vibration Isolation solutions towards the same.
Speaker: Mr. Vikas Mahadeo Shevale, AMCA Consultant
Recording length: 60 minutes
PDH: 1
Upon completion, you will earn:
- 1 Professional Development Hour (PDH) via RCEP
- AMCA completion certificate
AMCA educational courses are developed by or in collaboration with the same subject matter experts who help shape AMCA standards. Professional Development Hours (PDHs), where applicable, are issued through AMCA's Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP) provider accreditation.

Objectives
- Summarize the fundamental principles of vibration isolation and the key terminologies used to measure vibration severity in HVAC motorized equipment.
- Evaluate the impact of dynamic loads on various support structures, including rigid, resonating, and flexible systems, to identify solutions that prevent structural damage.
- Apply ASHRAE and AMCA guidelines to select and install appropriate vibration isolators while avoiding common installation errors like short-circuiting or internal-external isolation overlap.
Certificate
By completing/passing this course, you will attain the certificate AMCA Certificate
