Fan Energy Index (FEI) Module

The purposes of this course are to provide education on the new Fan Energy Index (FEI) metric and how it replaces the Fan Efficiency Grade (FEG) metric in model energy codes and standards for buildings other than low-rise residential buildings. Examples are given for how FEI is applied to variable-air-volume (VAV) and constant-volume (CV) air systems and how code officials ensure compliance with FEI provisions.
