Basics of Acoustics Module

This course is structured as an introduction to the subject of acoustics.  The goal of this course is to create a core level of knowledge upon which further subject matter can be built. To this end, we will introduce students to terms and vocabulary used to describe and define sound, a discussion of different characteristics of sound, the use of decibels to describe aspects of sound and ways to control and mitigate both sound and noise.
